Cartographer Engineer from FCT/UNESP (Faculty of Sciences and Technology, São Paulo State University), Master's and Doctorate in Cartographic Sciences from the same institution through the PPGCC (Postgraduate Program in Cartographic Sciences). During undergraduate, I had a scientific initiation scholarship holder from 2010 to 2012, with financial support from CNPq (National Council for Scientific and Technological Development), working on a research project related to subpixel quality measurement of circular targets and its impact on digital camera calibration. In my Master's degree (2013-2015), I developed a project focused on the automatic extraction of linear and point features from LiDAR data for relative strip adjustment, which was funded by CNPq. In my Doctorate (2015-2019), I conducted research with financial support from CNPq in the first year (Proc. n° 140318/2015-1) and FAPESP (São Paulo Research Foundation) in the following years (Proc. n° 2016/12167-5). The doctoral project involved the extraction and regularization of building roof contours from LiDAR data using the alpha-shape algorithm and the CD-Spline concept. Additionally, during my Doctorate, I carried out a research internship abroad (April-November, 2017) through the BEPE program (Research Internship Scholarship Abroad) (Proc. n° 2016/20814-0), under the supervision of Prof. Dr. Ayman F. Habib at the Department of Civil Engineering of Purdue University (USA). During this period, I conducted activities related to my doctoral project, as well as participated in activities of the Digital Photogrammetry Research Group (DPRG). In 2019, I began a postdoctoral research project on the building boundary modeling in urban environments, funded by FAPESP (Proc. n° 2019/05268-8). During the postdoctoral period, I also conducted a research internship abroad (February 28, 2022 February 27, 2023) through the BEPE program (Proc. n° 2020/12481-7), at the Digital Photogrammetry Research Group (DPRG) of Purdue University. Currently, I am working as a postdoctoral researcher in the Cartography department of FCT/Unesp (Proc. n° 2019/05268-8), focusing on the following areas of interest: - Detection of buildings and trees in urban areas using airborne LiDAR data; - Development of strategies for automatic modeling of building contours using airborne LiDAR data and aerial images; - Automatic detection of changes in buildings using LiDAR data from two periods; - Detection and location of trees in natural forests and plantations using UAV-LiDAR and Geiger-Mode LiDAR data; - Detection of wood debris in forests using UAV-LiDAR, Geiger-Mode LiDAR, and backpack-LiDAR data.
