Diogo Silva Pelosi is currently an adjunct professor in the field of physical chemistry at the chemistry department of the Federal University of São Paulo (UNIFESP), Diadema campus and is linked to the postgraduate program in chemistry-science and technology of sustainability (PPGQ -CTS) by the same institution and the national institute of technology in organic electronics (INCT - INEO) and at the Center for Innovation in Materials linked to the Brazilian Company for Industrial Research and Innovation (CIM-UNIFESP / Embrapii). He holds a degree in chemistry / bachelor's degree (2010) from the State University of Maringá (UEM / PR). He studied a master's degree in chemistry (2012) from the State University of Maringá and a doctorate in physical chemistry (2016) from the State University of Maringá with 1 year of international experience at the Università degli studi di Napoli Federico II in Naples/Italy under the tutelage of the prafa . Dr Fabiana Quaglia. He has a postdoctoral degree (2017) working in the chemistry department of the University of São Paulo (USP), Ribeirão Preto campus. He has experience in the field of Physical Chemistry, Photophysics and Nanomaterials in the following areas: i) development of metallic nanoparticles (silver, copper and hybrids with metallic oxides such as TiO2, ZnO and others) aiming at the development of conductive materials with favorable optical characteristics for application as photocatalysts activated by visible light, probes for SERS spectroscopy and self-cleaning antibacterial materials and ii) development of intelligent polymeric nanoparticles (targeting and theranostics) for the selective delivery of drugs, especially photopharmaceuticals aimed at photodynamic therapy and photodynamic inactivation of microorganisms.
