He has a Master in Physics from the Università degli Studi di Firenze (2000) and a Ph.D. in Physics from the Università degli Studi di Firenze (2003). He is currently Faculty Staff (Professor Doutor, MS 3.1) at the Institute of Physics of the University of São Paulo and Visiting Researcher at Comissão Nacional de Energia Nuclear. He has experience in Physics, focusing on specific theories and models of interaction and Nuclear Physics, in particular on the following subjects: electron and proton induced bremsstrahlung, electron and proton scattering, and instrumentation development.
