Alexandre Archanjo Ferraro teaches at the Medical School of the University of Sao Paulo (USP), Brazil, since 2006 (tenure position). He studied Medicine in the Federal University of Sao Paulo (UNIFESP), qualifying in 1989. He was a Medical Resident in Pediatrics in 1990/92 and completed his PhD in Pediatrics at the same University in 2001. In 2003/2004 he studied at the London School of Hygiene and Tropical Medicine, getting a Msc in Epidemiology. In 2005 he was a postdoctoral fellow at the Institute of Psychiatry, King?s College, London. He teaches primary health care and studies the following subjects: life course epidemiology (early stressful environmental exposures and their late outcomes), clinical epidemiology and epidemiology of common paediatrics disorders.
