Birthplace: Brazil

Bachelor of Physics from Federal University of Itajubá, UNIFEI, Brazil, in 2010. Masters at the same institution from 2010 to 2011 in theoretical physics (nonlinear optics). PhD at the University of Rome, La Sapienza, Italy, and Université de Nice Sophia Antipolis, France, in theoretical physics (relativistic astrophysics) from 2011 to 2014. Research fellow at Towson University, USA, from 2015 to 2016 in the areas of metamaterials, analogue models and alternative theories to general relativity. Research fellow at Federal University of ABC, Brazil, from 2016 to 2019, working in the area of relativistic astrophysics (properties of compact stars). Research fellow at the University of Southampton, UK, from 2018 to 2019, in compact stars with phase transitions. From 2019 onwards, research fellow at the Nicolaus Copernicus Astronomical Center in Warsaw,Poland. Member of the International LIGO/VIRGO/KAGRA scientific collaboration since May/2020. Some areas of current interest: general relativity (thermodynamical, electrodynamical and stability aspects of astrophysical systems), nonlinear metamaterials (light properties in the limit of geometrical optics), analogue models to general relativity (optics), nonlinear electrodynamics and applications to general relativity, neutrino physics in general relativity, microphysical aspects of compact stars, stochastic variables for phenomenological quantum gravity, quantum field theory in curved spacetimes, alternative theories to general relativity (MOND), energy loss mechanisms in compact stars, neutron star asteroseismology (gravitational waves, stability, QPOs), MHD (applied to magnetized compact stars) and tidal deformations in neutron stars.
