Graduated in Chemistry from the University of São Paulo (2001), where he gained research experience in the laboratory of Prof. Dr. Mario J. Politi with emphasis in Physical Chemistry and photometry. Earned his master's degree in Chemistry from Marquette University, USA (2005) under the supervision of Prof. Dr. Chieu D. Tran, in the area of Analytical Chemistry working mainly in enantiomeric separations. Earned a doctorate in chemistry from Tohoku University, Japan (2008) under the supervision of Prof. Dr. Hidetoshi Oikawa in the area of analytical chemistry with emphasis on the development of novel spectroscopic methods with application in industrial processes. Currently is a research fellow of the Japan Society for the Promotion of Science (JSPS, Ministry of Education, Culture, Sports, Science and Technology, Japan) in the World Premier International - Advanced Institute for Materials Research, Tohoku University, Japan, focused on the production and characterization of hybrid metallic nanoparticles.
