This master's project aims to study transverse measures invariant by a dynamically defined foliation. The richness of the subject lies in the mixture of diverse areas of mathematics. The purpose is to prove the unique ergodicity of the stable or unstable foliation defined by an Anosov diffeomorphism. (AU)
This project is an introduction to ergodic theory and dynamics in homogeneous spaces. The student will study the basics of ergodic theory, such as ergodicity, ergodic theorem of Birkhoff, ergodic hierarchies, invariant measures, existence of invariant measures, hyperbolic plane of Poincaré, geodesic flow, horociclo flow and Fuchsianos groups.
