I am an Associate Professor at the Department of Entomology and Acarology at the University of São Paulo (ESALQ-USP). My expertise fields are Entomology and Molecular Ecology with a focus on Molecular Ecology of Arthropods with specific interests in DNA barcoding, population genetics, genomics, adaptation, and ecological interactions applied to insects of agricultural importance. Currently, I develop projects associated with molecular identification of arthropods, historical and contemporary dispersion, population genomics, insecticide resistance, and intra and interspecific relationships between pests and natural enemies. I work as an advisor to undergraduate and graduate students in the Graduate Program in Entomology at ESALQ/USP, associate editor of the journals Evolutionary Applications, Neotropical Entomology, Scientia Agricola and Animal Gene, and reviewer of projects for support agencies and scientific journals.
