Marina holds a degree in Biomedicine since 2007 by Federal University of Pernambuco, and since 2010 she is a Molecular Biology Specialist by University of Pernambuco and a Master of Public Health by Aggeu Magalhães Research Center (CPqAM / FIOCRUZ). Since 2014, she also holds a PhD in Theraputic Innovations in Federal University of Pernambuco and nowadays she works as a Post-Doctorate researcher in São Paulo Institute for Tropical Medicine at University of São Paulo (IMTSP/USP). She has experience in immunology, with emphasis in cellular immunology, acting on the following topics: cutaneous leishmaniasis, immune response, cytokines and gene expression.
