Dr. Doria Jorge earned a Bachelor?s degree in Pharmacy and Biochemistry from the State University of Ponta Grossa (UEPG) in Brazil, and his Master`s and Ph.D degrees from the University of São Paulo (USP) in Brazil. Dr. Doria Jorge dedicated his last years as a postdoctoral researcher and principal investigator at the Laboratory of Tumor Immunology at the University of São Paulo (Brazil), where he worked on the development of novel immunotherapy strategies, and also, supervised his own students with grants that he obtained directly from Brazilian agencies. During this period and also in collaboration with the research group of Drug Design at the University of Groningen (The Netherlands), Dr. Doria Jorge, using his skills in medicinal chemistry, including computer-aided drug design (CADD), molecular modeling, and organic synthesis was able to develop new multi-target compounds with antitumor and immunomodulatory activity, which are, now, subject to a patent application. Now, Dr Doria Jorge joins Dr. Urrutia, Dr. Zimmermann, and the Bioinformatics Team Supporting the Genomic Sciences & Precision Medicine Center Lab at Medical College of Wisconsin.
