Former coordinator of the National Women´s Health Programme (1995-2002) and former coordinator of that programme at the Sate of Sâo Paulo (1995-1998) and 2007-2010). Coordinated the Programme to support Civil Society Projects on Sexual and Reproductive Health and Rights in Brazil, developed by Comissão de Cidadania e Reprodução and Centro Brasileiro de Análise e Planejamento (CEBRAP) and funded by MacArthur Foundation (1995-2002). Member of the research coordination team of the National Demographic and Health Survey (PNDS 2006). Has experience in Public Health, research and teaching on reproductive health issues.
