Advisory Professor of the International Doctoral Program (DINTER) in partnership with the Universidad Católica del Uruguay (UCU). Assistant Doctor of the Discipline of Endocrinology at the Universidade Federal de São Paulo (UNIFESP), coordinator of the Multiple Endocrine Neoplasms Nucleus (EPM - UNIFESP) and researcher at the Laboratory of Molecular and Translational Endocrinology (LEMT). Founder of the Medullary Thyroid Carcinoma clinic with Prof. Dr Rui Maciel at UNIFESP, coordinator of the first thematic project on Ca Medullary and Multiple Endocrine Neoplasms (BRASMEN) and responsible for the development of the Multiple Endocrine Neoplasia Nucleus (NNEM). The researcher graduated in Medicine at Universidade Federal Fluminense (1998), where he was a Resident in Clinical Medicine and Endocrinology (1999-2002). He is an endocrinologist with a Masters and Doctorate (Clinical Endocrinology) from the Federal University of São Paulo (UNIFESP). At the Multiple Endocrine Neoplasia Nucleus NNEM, whose scope ranges from benchtop research to the outpatient clinic, it collaborates with the studies? preparation, execution, and analysis. The focus on hormonal dosages, biomarkers, genomic and transcriptomic assessment of diseases is a characteristic of LEMT. In this favourable environment, innovative analyzes of biostatistics and bioinformatics are developed. He is a researcher involved in the development of research in two laboratories (LIMB and LEMT). At LIMB, research development allows for multidisciplinary collaboration with researchers with different approaches and mastery of other techniques for analyzing clinical and laboratory studies samples. At LEMT, participation in studies ?from the bench to the bedside? is transparent, as well as the extensive network of national and international collaborations. He is a researcher focusing on the Physiopathological Mechanisms of Chronic Noncommunicable Diseases and in biomarkers development. He develops work in clinical, basic and translational areas. Topics of interest: Thyroid Dysfunctions, Thyroid Carcinoma, Multiple Endocrine Neoplasms, RNA and Bioinformatics. (Source: Lattes Curriculum)
