CV Lattes ORCID

Universidade Estadual de Campinas (UNICAMP). Instituto de Biologia (IB)  (Institutional affiliation from the last research proposal)
Birthplace: Brazil

Aline Santos is a professor of Cell Biology at the Institute of Biology at the State University of Campinas. She leads a multidisciplinary research team composed of biologists, biochemists, and physicists with a focus on DNA damage response signaling in cardiomyocytes. To gain new insights into the regulation of DNA repair mechanisms, they use a combination of biophysical, biochemical, and molecular biology techniques, including super-resolution microscopy, FRET and mass spectrometry, which allow the description of novel protein-protein interactions and its impact on cardiomyocyte DNA repair signaling.
