Bachelor in Biology from Universidade Federal de Alagoas (2007) with minor in Biology Education from Universidade Federal de Alagoas (2008), master's (neuropathology) from Universidade Federal de São Paulo (2013) and PhD Medical Physiopathology/Neurosciencefrom University of Campinas (2018). Luciana has been investigating the physiopathology of epilepsies since 2006, focusing on the following subjects: molecular biology, neuropathology and, currently, neuroimaging by using metabolic and microstructural MRI to evaluate focal epilepsies associated with psychiatric comorbidities. Luciana served as postdoctoral research fellow at University of Alberta, Canada (2021 - 2023). Currently working as postodoctoral fellow/research assistance at the Brazilian Institute of Neurosciente and Neurotechnology (CEPID/BRAINN)/Unicamp. She also develops scientific communication projects and serve as guest lecturer of neurology and data analysis related courses and trainings. (Source: Lattes Curriculum)
