She holds a bachelor's degree from the School of Dentistry at the University of São Paulo - USP (2000) with expertise in major oral surgery, a master's degree in Morphofunctional Sciences from the University of São Paulo - USP (2002), a Ph.D. in Morphofunctional Sciences from the University of São Paulo - USP (2007), and a postdoctoral fellowship from the Department of Psychobiology at the Paulista School of Medicine - EPM/UNIFESP (2019). She has completed internships at the University of Salamanca (Spain) and the Faculty of Medicine at the University of Lisbon (Portugal). Currently, she is a full-time faculty member in the Discipline of Genetics at the Department of Morphology and Genetics at the Paulista School of Medicine - EPM/UNIFESP, where she is involved in teaching and research on the epigenetic effects of blood transfusions. She is the current coordinator and advisor of the graduate program in Structural and Functional Biology at EPM/UNIFESP. Additionally, she is involved in the field of Transfusion Medicine, serving as an advisor in the graduate program in Medicine: Hematology and Oncology at EPM/UNIFESP, and as the leader of the research group on Advanced Studies in Patient Blood Management (PBM) and the PBM implementation group at university hospital of UNIFESP (PBM Group - HU - UNIFESP). She is the project coordinator for the Institutional Internationalization Program - Capes Print UNIFESP. She maintains scientific collaborations with researchers from the University of Lisbon (POR), the University of Pennsylvania, and Duke University (USA). (Source: Lattes Curriculum)
