Lucas is currently a Guest Visiting Researcher at CQMED/UNICAMP - Center for Medicinal Chemistry, at the State University of Campinas, where he participates in public-private partnerships with national and international collaborators. He is involved in the execution and management of research projects that aims the development of inhibitors and chemical probes, function elucidation of understudied proteins, and validation of therapeutic targets, with particular interest in human kinases and RNA binding proteins. Worked as a scientific coordinator in an Embrapii project alongside the biotech company Hilab, specialized in diagnostic technologies. He has a degree in biomedicine from the Federal University of Triângulo Mineiro (2011), a master's degree in Science and Technology/Chemistry (2013) and a PhD in Biosystems (2017) from the Federal University of ABC, with an internship at McMaster University, Canada. He has experience in Molecular Biology, with an emphasis on cloning and gene expression, Biochemistry, with an emphasis on enzymology, and Structural Biology. (Source: Lattes Curriculum)
