CV Lattes

Universidade de São Paulo (USP). Instituto de Ciências Biomédicas (ICB)  (Institutional affiliation from the last research proposal)
Birthplace: Brazil

Acquired his master?s degree in Morphofunctional Sciences at USP where he developed specific knowledge needed for his field of research. Graduated in Molecular Sciences of the University of São Paulo, he acquired knowledge in physics, chemistry, biology, mathematics and computation, as well as specific training in areas relevant to neuroscience such as statistics, anatomy and psychology. Researches with Prof. Dr. Newton Sabino Canteras since July 30, 2012. He worked on a research project whose main objective was to analyze the involvement of BLAa, showing the involvement of this area in the innate and contextual predatory fear response. As a secondary objective, it systematically analyzed BLAa connections. He is currently working on a research project that aims to relate the neuronal activities of PAG functional columns to experimental conditions (safe environment, cat exposure and predatory context) and behavioral aspects of the antipredatory response (eg, freezing and evaluation of risk).
