She has a degree in Pharmacy-Biochemistry from the School of Pharmacy and Dentistry of Alfenas (1989), a Master's degree in Dentistry (Pharmacology) from the State University of Campinas (1993) and a Doctorate in Dentistry (Pharmacology) from the State University of Campinas (1997), having completed Sandwich PhD at the University of Rochester. She is currently Associate Professor III at the Faculty of Dentistry of Piracicaba, UNICAMP, in the Department of Biosciences, Biochemistry Area. She works in the Postgraduate Program in Dentistry at the same institution. She has experience in the field of Dentistry, with an emphasis on Cariology, working mainly on the following topics: dental caries, fluoride, in vitro and in situ studies and dental biofilm. She was Coordinator of the Postgraduate Program in Dentistry from 2010 to 2014 and General Coordinator of the Postgraduate Programs at the Faculty of Dentistry of Piracicaba from 2014 to 2018. Currently, she is Vice-Chief of the Department of Biosciences, Councilor of IADR Cariology Research Group and serves as Associate Editor of the journal Brazilian Oral Research, in addition to being a member of the IADR Osteology Foundation New Investigator Award in Oral Tissue Regeneration Committee and the IADR Young Investigator Award Committee and Treasurer of SBPqO (2022-2024).
