Bachelors degree in Physical Education from Universidade Estadual Paulista (1989), Certificate Program in Evaluation of Motor Performance from Universidade Estadual de Londrina (1995), Masters (2004), and Ph.D. (2009) in Physical Education from Universidade de São Paulo, Full Professor in Measurements and Evaluation by the University of São Paulo - USP (2015) and Post-Doctorate in Physical Activity and Health by the Faculty of Sport of the University of Porto (2020). He is currently an Adjunct Professor at the School of Education and Communication (ESEC) at the University of Algarve - UAlg (Portugal); Associate Professor MS-5 (RDIDP) at the School of Physical Education and Sport of Ribeirão Preto (on leave) - USP, Advisor Permanent in the Interunit Doctoral Program in Nursing (EE/USP - EERP/USP) and in the Graduate Program - Physical Education and Sport (EEFERP/USP). Leader of the Study and Research Group in Anthropometry, Training, and Sport (GEPEATE), Coordinator of International Exchanges (Portugal - Brazil), President-elect of the Pedagogical Council of ESEC, Deputy Director and Internship Coordinator of the Sports Course (ESEC/ UAlg). Expert in the evaluation of higher education courses in Brazil (INEP/MEC; CEE-SP) and Portugal (A3ES). He has experience in studies of the Biodynamic Aspects of Physical Activity and Sport and Theoretical and Philosophical Foundations of Caring, working mainly on the following topics: body composition, physical exercise, lipodystrophy syndrome for HIV/AIDS, aging, biological maturation, sports with young people and motor performance of children and adolescents.
