Post-doctoral as New York University (NY-UAS) and Institute Pasteur (Paris-France). Full professor since 2003 at ICB-USP. President of the Brazilian Society of Immunology (2004-2006). Has experience in Immunology, focusing on Celular Immunology, Inflammation and Immunity, acting on experimental models of human diseases like infections by viruses, bacteria, protozoan and fungi, viruses as well in asthma models.
