She graduated in Biological Sciences at the Federal University of Paraná (2003). She has specialization in Cell and Molecular Biology, from Federal University of Paraná (2004) and Ph.D. in Sciences (Cellular and Tissue Biology) from the University of São Paulo (2010). During her Ph.D. she studied the regulation of Raldh2 gene and retinoic acid signaling during the spinal cord development. She is currently Researcher at the Brazilian Biosciences National Laboratory (LNBio/ CNPEM), where works on Regenerative Biology, focusing her research on the signaling pathways that activate and control the endogenous stem/progenitor cells response during the spinal cord regeneration in zebrafish.
