B.S. in Geology, M.S. in Tectonics and Ph.D. in Tectonics at the University of São Paulo. Professor at the School of Technology (FT) of the University of Campinas (UNICAMP). Expertise in Tectonics and Sedimentation, and Basin Analysis. Primary interests are Neoproterozoic Earth-Life system, Precambrian sedimentation, Cretaceous paleogeography in the South Atlantic realm, Gondwanan fluvial paleogeography evolution, alluvial architecture, and fluvial sedimentation. Currently focused on extreme environmental changes during the Neoproterozoic as well as on active fluvial systems in the Brazilian Amazon and development of quantitative approaches for revealing landscapes and their dynamics from the rock record.
