José Maurício Sforcin is a biologist and obtained his PhD in 1996 at the São Paulo State University (UNESP). Currently, he is a Full Professor at the Institute of Biosciences, where he is head of the Lab "Immunomodulation by Natural Products". His research interests are in the role of natural products (predominantly propolis and its constituents) in Applied Immunoloy and Microbioloy. He hold several editorial positions, including Guest Editor (Frontiers in Pharmacology, Biology and Evidence-based Complementary and Alternative Medicine). Among the top 100,000 scientists according to research conducted in 2020, 2021 and 2022 byt the University of Stanford (EUA). Included in the AD Scientific Index - World Scientist and University Rankings 2023. (Source: Lattes Curriculum)
