Agronomical Engineer from the University of São Paulo (1971), Master in Nuclear Energy in Agriculture from the University of São Paulo (1974) and PhD in Analytical Chemistry from the State University of Campinas (1981). He is currently a full professor at the Center for Nuclear Energy in Agriculture at the University of São Paulo and a full member of the Brazilian Academy of Sciences. His research activities mainly include the design and development of flow-based analytical systems, with applications in the agronomical, environmental, pharmaceutical and industrial areas, especially in relation to UV-Vis spectrophotometry, flow analysis, and chemometrics. Emphasis has been placed on valuing ethical, moral and spiritual aspects, in order to develop feelings of team spirit, intellectual freedom, creativity and, above all, friendship, among its students and collaborators.e-mail: ezagatto@cena.usp.br (Source: Lattes Curriculum)
