Daniela Paula de Toledo Thomazella

Daniela has a bachelor's degree in Biological Sciences and a doctoral degree in Genetics and Molecular Biology from UNICAMP (State University of Campinas). As part of the Pew Latin American Fellows Program in the Biomedical Sciences, she worked as a postdoctoral fellow in the Staskawicz Lab at the University of California, Berkeley. She is currently a researcher at the Department of Genetics at "Escola Superior de Agricultura Luiz de Queiroz" at the University of Sao Paulo (ESALQ-USP). Her research experience includes Genetics, Molecular Biology and Biochemistry, with emphasis on the following topics: genome editing (CRISPR), genomics, transcriptomics and plant-microbe interactions.
