Graduated in Agronomy from the Universidade Estadual Paulista Júlio de Mesquita Filho (1987), Master's degree in Agronomy (Agriculture) from the Universidade Estadual Paulista Júlio de Mesquita Filho (1992), Ph.D. in Agronomy (Agriculture) from the Universidade Estadual Paulista Júlio de Mesquita Filho (1996) ) and Associate Professor (Ecophysiology of Crop Production) from the Universidade Estadual Paulista Júlio de Mesquita Filho (2018). He did a post-doctorate in Sugarcane Physiology and Breeding at Texas A & M University (2006-2007). Worked at Copersucar with Sugarcane Improvement (1988-1990). He was a scientific researcher at the Agronomic Institute of Campinas (1994-2002), having worked in the Cane Center Breeding Program - IAC. He was a scientific researcher at the São Paulo Agency for Agribusiness Technology - APTA (2002-2011), where he worked with Sugarcane Breeding and Physiology. Belongs to the Editorial Board of the journals STAB Açúcar Álcool e Subprodutos, Científica, and Agriculture. He is an ad-hoc reviewer for several national and international journals. He is an associate professor 5.3, teaches undergraduate and graduate classes, and advises Masters and Doctorates, in the area of Agriculture, at the Faculty of Agricultural Sciences/UNESP and has experience in the area of Agronomy, with an emphasis on Ecophysiology of Crop Production, working mainly on the following subjects: Sugarcane, Saccharum spp., Cassava, Manihot esculenta Crantz, Soybean, Glycine max Merrill, Corn, Zea mays L., Common Beans, Phaseolus vulgaris L., productivity, physiology of crop production, water deficiency, bioinputs , plant regulators and biostimulants.
