Veterinarian graduated from the Faculty of Veterinary Medicine and Animal Science of the University of São Paulo (1978). Master in Animal Nutrition by FMVZ-USP (1989) and PhD in Animal Science at FMVZ-UNESP (1994). Free Teaching in Zootechnical Bioclimatology at FZEA-USP (2007) and Post-Doctorate in Beef Cattle Heat Tolerance at the University of Évora (2008). Full Professor of Faculty of Animal Science and Food Engineering of University of Sao Paulo (since 2011). Was Professor of Faculty of Veterinary Medicine and Animal Science, USP (1983-1992) and of Faculty of Animal Science and Food Engineering, USP (since 1993). Designed, implemented and coordinated the FZEA Veterinary Medicine Undergraduate Course (2006-2016). Researcher and professor in the areas of Biometeorology, Ethology and Animal Welfare, with a focus on the following topics: bioclimatology, behavior, animal welfare, thermoregulation and ambience, for beef and dairy cattle, buffaloes, sheep and horses. Research Productivity Scholarship of CNPq. Senior Researcher Award "Prof. Dr. Roberto Gomes da Silva" in the area of Behavior and Animal Welfare by the Brazilian Society of Biometeorology, in 2017. He is the Technical Manager at CRMV-SP for the Laboratory of Biometeorology and for the Research Bioterium in Biometeorology, Ethology and Animal Welfare, at the Animal Science's Department at FZEA-USP.
