Celso Jorge Villas-Bôas

Graduated in Bachelor of Physics (1997), Master's (2000) and Ph.D. (2004) in Physics from the Federal University of São Carlos (UFSCar). He did postdoctoral work at the Max-Planck Institute for Quantum Optics (Garching, Germany, 2009-2010). He is currently an associate professor at the Federal University of São Carlos. He has experience in Physics, with an emphasis on Quantum Optics and Quantum Information, in particular: cavity quantum electrodynamics, trapped ions, quantum teleportation, quantum computing, light scattering by atomic ensembles. He was Head of the Department of Physics at the Center for Exact Sciences and Technology (CCET) at UFSCar, Coordinator of the Degree Course in Physics at CCET / UFSCar and Coordinator of the Graduate Program in Physics at CCET / UFSCar. He was member of the Departmental Council, member of the Council of the Graduate Program in Physics and of several Superior Councils of UFSCar (Graduate Council, Board of Directors, Council of Graduate Studies, and Council of CCET).
