Sousa, MV is graduated in Nutrition in the University of Mogi das Cruzes (2001), Master in Experimental Nutrition University of São Paulo (2005) and PhD by the Endocrinology Division of the University of Sao Paulo with sandwich period in the Department of Sports Science of Idraett Institute at the University of Aarhus, Denmark. Exercise Physiology and Sports Nutrition is her main line of research. She worked with high-performance athletes in her master's, doctoral and Post-doctoral studies, thus being recognized by monitor the diets of elite runners and marathoners, improving their performance in competitions. She has over 10 years experience as a lecturer She has an extensive experience in Nutrition, with emphasis on the following topics: nutrition of athletes, carbohydrate and fat metabolism during exercise, hormonal and biochemistry of nutrition, exercise physiology, markers of tissue injury, exercise and diabetes, metabolic syndrome and exercise , Nutritional assessment in various stages of life, advice on nutrition and nutrition education. email: maysavsousa@gmail.com (Source: Lattes Curriculum)
