Cíntia Costa Macedo Albrecht

Doctor in Music, Cintia holds a Sandwich Doctorate from UNICAMP and CUNY (City University of New York). She is currently a professor at UFSCar in the EaD program in Music Education where she develops lesson plans focussing keyboard learning techniques, sight-reading, improvisation and interdisciplinarity with Music History and Theory. She developed works with the UNICAMP Symphony Orchestra for solo and chamber music. and recorded an institutional DVD with the same orchestra in September 2013, promoting contemporary Brazilian classical music. Advises FAPESP and guides undergraduate and graduate work within the line of performance research and musical analysis. She released the solo piano CD "Campinas ao Piano" in 2008 after being awarded by the Prefeitura of Campinas with full sponsorship from FICC . Her work with this CD was nominated for the Carlos Gomes Award in 2009. Her national and international publications in periodicals and Conferences proceedings show her research on Brazilian music in the areas of performance and musical analysis.
