Graduated in Biological Sciences from the University of Sao Paulo, Master's and PhD in Biology / Genetics from the University of Sao Paulo. She is currently a professor at the University of Sao Paulo, Department of Cell Biology and Development, Institute of Biomedical Sciences. Has experience in the area of Cellular and Molecular Biology, with emphasis on tumor cell biology. Contributed to the implementation of techniques of cell cultures in both 2D and 3D environment, studying cell proliferation, differentiation and death. Has been devoted to studying the mechanisms of formation of micronuclei, the study of aneuploidy and its meaning in the process of tumorigenesis and gene amplification in both tumor and polytene chromosomes Rhynchosciara americana. Dedicated to research in biology relevant aspects of this organism, focusing on the correlation and molecular morfologiaca in salivary gland and ovary.
