Bachelor's in Pharmacy from Universidade Estadual de Londrina (1992), Master's (1997) and PhD (2001) in Biological Sciences - Genetics from Universidade Estadual Paulista Júlio de Mesquita Filho, under supervision of Dr. Silvia R. Rogatto. Post-Doctoral research training (2002-2005) at the Princess Margaret Cancer Centre / University Health Network (UHN), Toronto, ON, Canada, under supervision of Dr. Suzanne Kamel-Reid. Scientific Associate at UHN from 2005-2011. In 2011, Dr. Reis became Assistant Professor at the Department of Surgery and Orthopedics, Faculty of Medicine, UNESP, Botucatu, SP, Brazil. Promoted to Associate Professor in 2019. Leads a research team working on Molecular Oncology with a focus on lung and pancreatic cancers. Our goals include the identification of biomarkers to improve diagnosis, prognosis and treatment of patients, with a focus on Transcriptome and Epitranscriptome - non-coding RNAs.
