Graduated in Physics (bachelor's degree) from the Federal University of Goiás (UFG, 1987), has a master's degree in Physics from the Federal University of Pernambuco (UFPE, 1991) and a Ph.D. in Physics from the University of São Paulo (USP, 1999), with a Sandwich internship at NASA GSFC (USA). She completed a post-doctorate at NASA Ames (2000/2001). She was a fellow of the FAPESP Young Researcher program between 2001 and 2002 at the Institute of Astronomy, Geophysics, and Atmospheric Sciences (IAG) at USP. She was a senior scientist for the Universities Space Research Association/Goddard Earth Sciences Technology and Research (USRA/GESTAR) at the Global Modeling and Assimilation Office (GMAO) at NASA GSFC from 2016 to 2021. She has been a researcher at the National Institute for Space Research (INPE ) since 2007. He has experience in Geosciences, with an emphasis on Atmospheric Chemistry, working mainly on the following topics: numerical modeling, air quality, radiative transfer, fires and their impacts on weather and climate changes, numerical prediction of the atmosphere, including pollutants. She is one of the leaders in developing the BRAMS model (Brazilian developments on the Regional Atmospheric Modeling System). She is one of those responsible for developing and maintaining the air quality numerical modeling system for South America operational at CPTEC / INPE. (Source: Lattes Curriculum)
