Graduated in Materials Engineering from Universidade Federal de São Carlos (2001), MSc in Materials Science and Engineering from Universidade Federal de São Carlos (2005), pHD in Chemical Engineering from Universidade Federal de São Carlos (2012) and Post Doctoral (2012-2013) by the Institute of Chemistry of Sao Carlos (USP). He is currently Assistant Professor at Chemical Department from Universidade Federal de Viçosa (UFV) and undergraduate course coordinator in chemical engineering. He has experience in materials characterization using advanced techniques such as X-ray Photoelectron Spectroscopy (XPS), X-ray Absorption Spectroscopy (XAS) and Fourier Transform Infrared Spectroscopy (FT-IR) and also in situ experiments in heterogeneous catalysis, ethanol reforming and dehydrogenation and ethanol chemisytry. He has work and research with integrated systems for hydrogen production in fuel cell coupled. Also, develops works in the field of: dehydrogenation, dehydration and partial oxidation of terpenes; direct synthesis of ethyl acetate from ethanol; and direct synthesis of methyl isobutyl ketone (MIBK) from isopropanol in heterogeneous catalysis.
