Bachelhors degree in Physics (1992), Master's degree in Physics (1995) and Ph.D. in physics from the University of Campinas - UNICAMP (2000). He has also conducted two Postdoctoral fellowships, one at the University of Rome II "Tor Vergata" - in the local section of the Istituto Nazionale di Fisica Nucleare (INFN) - Italy (2001), and another at the University of Campinas - UNICAMP, Department of Rays Cosmic and Chronology (2002). He is currently an associate professor at University of Campinas. Expertise in physics, with specific emphasis on Cosmic Rays and Astroparticle Physics, mainly in the following topics: Ulta-High Energy Cosmic Rays, The Pierre Auger Observatory, Physics and Astrophysics of neutrinos, development and building of new detectors .
