NATURAL HISTORY Graduated in the Faculty of Philosophy, Sciences and Letters (FFCL) of Rio Claro (1968) and Ph.D. in Biochemistry of Microorganisms by FFCL Rio Claro (1973), isolating and identifying (with determination of DNA) bacteria that live in ant nests cutting (ants). Post-Doctor held in Central American Institute of Industrial Technology (ICAITI), Guatemala, Guatemala/CA (1979), in two projects: use the juice from the pulp of coffee for microbial protein production and using coffee pulp as organic fertilizer after treatment by means of composting. Installed the laboratories of botany, zoology, genetics and biochemistry at FFCL Presidente Prudente, SP (1974-1977), started the Department of Ecology, Institute of Biosciences/UNESP, Rio Claro, along with Dr. Leopoldo Magno Coutinho (1977 -1978) held its free-Teaching (1987) on the environmental impact study of the application of vinasse in cumulative doses in areas of cerrado soil and crops of corn and sugar cane and held the Titular Professort (1993) Ecology of soil. Won the Tortoise, with the Best Science Book of 1992 with Environmental Analysis: a multidisciplinary view. Proposed the creation of the Center for Environmental Studies at UNESP in 1987 and saw him installed in 1990. Latter has been director for five years. He is currently a researcher and coordinator of the research groups and FUGALI WATER. Member of the Technical Chamber of Hydrological Monitoring Committees PCJ. Chair of the Committee on the Environment UNESP / Rio Claro Campus. Magazine Publisher's Holos Environment since 2011. He has experience in the areas of Applied Microbiology (Biotechnology and Biodiversity, Ecology of soil microorganisms) and Environment (Environmental Analysis, Management of watersheds, Leadership, Education and Environmental sustainabilities).
