PhD in Science by the São Paulo University (1987): sandwich between the Institute of Physics and Chemistry of São Carlos (IFQSC/USP) and the Laboratoire de Chimie du Solide de l'Université de Bordeaux I, France (1984-86).Assistant professor (2001) and Full professor by the São Paulo State University (UNESP) in Physical Chemistry. Member of the CNPq's Chemistry Advisory Committee (CAQU) since 2020, and a member of the Editorial Committee of the Cerâmica journal (Scielo). Coordinator of Rede Sol, involving 04 Brazilian and 04 French universities (CAPES/COFECUB: IQ/UNESP, IF/USP, IF/UFRGS and DF(Bauru)/UNESP in Brazil and LURE and LCSO/UP-Sud, ENSCI/U .Limoges, LMPM/U.Montpellier-II, LRRS/UBourgogne, France) since 2000, and coordinator (and vice-president) of the Graduate Program in Chemistry at IQ/UNESP (2007-2013). Works as a referee in several scientific journals and funding agencies, has experience in the area of Condensed State Physics and Chemistry, with emphasis on Physical Chemistry of Soft Matter and Surfaces, working mainly on the following topics: sol-gel transition, nanomaterials to SnO2, ZnO and ZrO2 basis, quantum dots, siloxane-polyether hybrids, rheological, spectroscopic and diffractometric characterization of materials, including temporal resolution based on synchrotron radiation. Published more than 240 scientific papers that received almost 4400 citations (H=35), 100 complete papers in congress and 11 book chapters. supervisior of 30 Masters, 24 PhD and 24 post-doctors. Some of these colaborators works in national and international university or research institutes. Nowadays is main research of the INCT "Advanced eco-friendly technologies for cimenticious materials, is the lider of the Group of Materials Physical-Chemistryand has participate in the cooperation between PETROBRAS and UNESP that contributed to decrease the environmental risks involving oil platforms.
