Retired professor and collaborator at the Institute of Chemistry, UNESP / Araraquara. Degree in Chemistry (UNESP - 1966), Bachelor in Chemistry (UNESP - 1967), Ph.D. in Inorganic Chemistry (UNESP - 1973). He was director of the Institute of Chemistry of Araraquara - UNESP (1988-1992), Assistant of the Pro-rectory of Graduate Studies and Research (1994 to 1996), director of financial department for scientific research of the Fundação para o Desenvolvimento da UNESP / FUNDUNESP (1997 to 2001), Surrogate director at the Regional Council of Chemistry (CRQ-IV) (2005-today). She has extensive experience in inorganic chemistry and is currently working on research and development of palladium (II), platinum (II), gold (I) and silver (I) complexes with potential activity in the inhibition of tumor cells and inhibition of mycobacterium, in particular, the mycobacterium of tuberculosis. He is reviewer of the several journals Journal of the Brazilian Chemical Society, Journal of Coordination Chemistry, Chemical Society, Water Air and Soil Pollution, among others. Until July 2016, he has 87 published papers, 3 patents, 197 presentations (oral or posters) in conferences, 6 participations in judgments for hiring full professors, 7 for Habilitation and 24 for pHD.
