Full Professor at the "Gleb Wataghin" Physics Institute of the Campinas State University, where he has been teaching since 2005. Possesses a Masters in Physical Engineering from Eindhoven University of Technology, The Netherlands (1992), a PhD in Physics from the Campinas State University (1997), post-doctorates at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (1998-2000), the Lawrence Livermore National Laboratory (2000-2003), and the São Paulo State University at São Paulo (2003-2005). Possesses the title of Lecturer from the Campinas State University (2009). He has experience in Physics, with emphasis on Thermal and Mechanical Properties of Condensed Matter, working mainly on the following topics: atomistic simulation, Monte Carlo methods and molecular dynamics, multi-scale methods, mechanical properties of crystalline solids, and the physics of the condensed water phases.
