In 2011, I defended my PhD in Materials Science and Technology at UNESP with a sandwich period at Johannes Kepler University in Linz, Austria. In 2014 I joined the group of professors of the Laboratory of Plasmas and Processes of the Technological Institute of Aeronautics, also being part of the faculty of the Department of Physics and of the Graduate Program in Mechanical and Aeronautical Engineering (PG-EAM) of the same institution. In 2018 I was responsible for inaugurating the experimental research line on gallium nitride (GaN) at the Instituto Tecnológico de Aeronáutica, through the design and construction of the first sputtering reactor dedicated to the growth of films and heterostructures of GaN, AlGaN and InGaN in Brazil. To this end, I was the main coordinator of 3 financed projects: Regular FAPESP (R$ 225,000.00 between 2017 and 2019), Universal CNPq (R$ 30,000.00 between 2019 and 2022) and CAPES/ITA (R$ 24,000.00 between 2017 and 2019). As main advisor, I supervised a total of 8 Scientific Initiation works (7 with a PIBIC grant) and 5 Defended Academic Master's Dissertations with a CAPES grant, having also supervised 2 completed Post-Doctoral internships with a CAPES grant. At the moment, I supervise 2 more Scientific Initiation works with a PIBIC scholarship and 2 more Direct Doctorate works with a CAPES scholarship. Highlight for the 2019 ITA Scientific Initiation award received by one of my students. Since 2009, I have maintained an active collaboration with the Institute of Semiconductor and Solid State Physics at Jhoannes Kepler University in Linz, Austria, through Prof. Dr. Alberta Bonanni. Much more recently (2021), we began direct collaboration with the NanoCarbon Center and Welch Institute for Advanced Materials at Rice University in Houston, Texas in the United States, through Prof. Dr. James M. Tour. In addition, I am a member of the Hypersonic research network, participating in the PROCAD-DEFESA-2019 project. During the last five years, I have published a total of 15 articles in internationally relevant indexed journals, 4 in extract A1, 4 in extract A2, and 6 in extract B1 from the Engineering III area of CAPES. According to Scopus, I collect 257 citations, reaching the H 9 index with a strong upward trend for the coming years. I have participated and published in national and international events regularly. In addition, I am an active reviewer for 3 journals: Journal of Electronic Materials, Materials Research and Revista de Engenharia Mackenzie. I am the professor responsible for the discipline of Science and Technology of Thin Films offered to all graduate programs at ITA. I also teach the semester disciplines of the Physics laboratory to undergraduate students.
