He earned his Bachelor's degree in Computer Science at Universidade do Oeste Paulista (1991) and worked in Software Development at the beginning of his career. He concluded his master's degree in Computer Science and Computational Mathematics at the University of São Paulo, campus at São Carlos (1998). Four years later, he initiated his Ph.D. at the University of São Paulo in the same area and finished it in 2006. After his Ph.D., his interest and experience in the Computer Science area focused on Software Engineering, acting on the following subjects: Mining Software Repositories, Experimental Software Engineering, Software Visualization, Program Understanding, Teaching Software Engineering and Computing. Also, he is interested in applying information visualization techniques to support software engineering tasks. As a reviewer, he has collaborated in Computer Science conferences, symposiums, and journals. Nowadays, he is an Associate Professor in the Department of Mathematics and Computer Science, Faculty of Science and Technology (campus at Presidente Prudente), São Paulo State University. He is an ad hoc advisor to the São Paulo State Research Support Foundation (FAPESP). (Source: Lattes Curriculum)
