She holds a Phd in sociology by Universidade de São Paulo (2000), and a post-doc by Yale University (2010). She was awarded with the prizes CNPq/Anpocs (2001), John S. Guggenheim Foundation (2009), Jabuti (2016) and Brazilian Academy of Letters (2016) She served the academic committees of National Social Sciences Association(2014-16) and BBM-USP (2013-2016). She coordinated the LAPS-USP (2012-2015) She has being working on researches about the relations between culture and political action and on political and intellectual movements.
