Full Professor at the Faculty of Pharmaceutical Sciences of Ribeirão Preto, University of São Paulo, Researcher 1A of CNPq, leader of the Laboratory of Inflammation and Immunology of Parasitoses, Head of the Department of Clinical, Toxicological and Bromatological Analysis and member of the CTA of FCFRP-USP de 2018 to 2022. Member of the FCFRP-USP Congregation, since 2008. Appointed by the Open BOX platform of Science (Instituto Serrapilheria/CNPq), as one of the top 50 researchers in the field of Biological Sciences at present time. Treasurer of the Brazilian Society of Immunology between 2009 and 2011. Member of the Management Committee of the Basic and Applied Immunology Program at FMRP-USP, from 2008 to 2014. Coordinates the FAPESP Thematic Project entitled: New Functional Aspects of Eicosanoids (Process no. 2014/07125-6), from 2014 to 2021. Has experience in the area of Immunology, with emphasis on the study of the inflammatory response and the role of lipid mediators in pulmonary infections by fungi, bacteria and parasites. Currently coordinates FAPESP project with SARS-CoV-2, search for biomarkers and role of lipid mediators (Process 2020/05207-6). Also investigates venom-induced innate immune responses. In addition, she works with the investigation of natural products with anti-inflammatory activity and new pharmaceutical formulations focusing on controlled release systems of lipid mediators. More recently, she developed a platform at FCFRP-USP (CEQIL) for identification and quantification of lipids (lipidoma), being a pioneer in this area at the Ribeirão Preto Campus. Postdoctoral at the National Heart and Lung Institute at the University of London, and had/has agreements with the University of Michigan, United States, with the CNRS Transgenomics Institute, Orleans, France, with the University of Freiburg, Germany and with the University of Valladolid, Spain, in addition to several national and international collaborations. Guides master's and doctoral students in postgraduate programs in Basic and Applied Immunology (FMRP-USP), in Biochemistry (FMRP-USP) and in Biosciences and Biotechnology Applied to Pharmacy (FCFRP-USP), having graduated to the present 22 masters and 22 doctors. Currently, she advises 3 masters, 1 doctor and 2 post-doctorates. He was President of the Animal Facility Committee at FCFRP-USP between 2002 and 2014; she was part of the Human Research Ethics Committee, the Animal Research Ethics Committee and the USP Animal Facilities Network, the Research Commission between 2010 and 2017; from the International Relations Commission, between 2010 and 2018. Coordinates the Flow Cytometry Centre of FCFRP-USP and the Lipid Quantification and Identification Centre - CEQIL (equipment was provided by FAPESP as multi-user equipment-EMU-2015/00658-1). She has publications in major journals in the areas of Immunology, Parasitology, Pharmaceutical Sciences, Natural Products, Lipid Mediators, and others. She organized the 5th CIFARP in 2005, the XXXIII Brazilian Congress of Immunology in 2008, the XXXVI Brazilian Congress of Immunology in 2011 and the 11th CIFARP in 2017, in addition to regional scientific meetings in Ribeirão Preto.
