Graduated from the Faculty of Veterinary Medicine and Animal Science at USP in 1983, he obtained a Masters in Science (Physiology) and a PhD in Experimental and Comparative Pathology, both also from USP, in 1986 and 1991, respectively. She joined Embrapa Meio Ambiente in 1990 as a researcher in the field of ecotoxicology. He currently works with toxicity assessment in non-target aquatic organisms of different trophic levels subjected to different environmental conditions. Therefore, it studies different biomarkers such as biochemical (enzymatic activity), physical, reproductive and behavioral changes. He has also been involved in the study and development of protocols for the assessment of the toxicity of nanomaterials and in their development for regulatory frameworks. She is a researcher associated with Embrapa's AgroNano Network and a collaborator in the postgraduate program in Sciences at CENA/USP. He was the technician in charge of the Ecotoxicology and Biosafety laboratory and established the zebrafish model in the laboratory. He has also studied the effects of agrochemicals and biopesticides on organisms. She is the coordinator of Ceua at Embrapa Meio Ambiente and a member of the CLPI of the same Unit.
