Graduated in Mathematics from Universidade Federal de Goiás-Brazil (1985), MSc in Mathematics from Universidade Estadual de Campinas-Brazi (1989); and PhD in Operations Research from Brunel University-England (1995). She was a professor at UNESP-Universidade estadual Paulista, in the city of S.J. do Rio Preto-Brazil, from 1989 to 2021. Now she works as a volunteer in the same institution. She has experience in Applied Mathematics and Operational Research focusing on Linear Mixed Integer mathematical optimization models and solution methodologies, working mainly on Cutting and Packing and Lot Scheduling problems.
