Graduation in Physics (University of São Paulo, 1973), Master's in Physics (University of São Paulo, 1977) and Ph.D. in Physics(University of São Paulo, 1984). Post-doctorate at the Centre de Recherches Nucleaires de Strasbourg, Strasbourg, France (1987-88). Currently, full professor at the University of São Paulo. Experience in Physics, with emphasis on Atomic Spectra and Photon and electron Interactions, working with the São Paulo Microtron, at the USP Physics Institute, in experiments with the 10-100 keV electron beam, in particular in atomic ionization of inner shelss by electron impact, including the determination of the atomic alignment; production of bremsstrahlung; electron scattering. In undergraduate education, he participates in the Mechanical EXperiments with Images group and is a member of the coordinatithe coordination committee of the Ernst Wolfgang Hamburger Demonstration Laboratory.
