Rodrigo Secolin

Expertise in human and medical genetics, and population genomics. Graduate in Biological Sciences (2006) and PhD in Medical Physiopathology, Neurosciences field, from University of Campinas (UNICAMP). He was a posdoc fellow at UNICAMP as CEPID-BRAINN researcher, analyzing genomic data of complex, neurological, and neuropsychiatric traits. In 2017, he was a posdoc in the Institute of Evolutionary Biology at Pompeu Fabra University, Barcelona, Spain, improving the studies of human genomic diversity. Currently he is a researcher in the Department of Translational Medicine at UNICAMP. Reviewer of national and international scientific journals. He has also co-advised PhD, Master's degree and Scientific Initiation students. Their diverse studies, which have been published in scientific articles, chapter books, and anals of congress, include analysis of complex and multifactorial traits, focused in analysis of genomic data and population genomics, in order to expand the knowledge of how the human genomic diversity can contribute to the etiology of complex traits.
