Ad-hoc and reviewer of journals and research funding agencies. Former UNIVALI council member; President of Internal Committee of Biosafety; Member of Graduate and Center Committees. Main research area bioprospection; deep-sea marine biotechnology; heterologous expression; genomics and metagenomics; hydrolases and biopolymers; bioconversion and biofuels.
