BS in Mechanical Engineering (UNESP - 1987), MS in Mechanical Engineering (University of Campinas - 1992), Ph.D. in Mechanical Engineering (University of Campinas ,1996). Visiting Scholar (post-doc at Texas A&M University -USA 1998/1999). Associate Professor (Tenure Examination) in Mechanical Engineering (University of Campinas, 2003). Since 1990, Professor of the School of Mechanical Engineering (FEM - University of Campinas UNICAMP); Head of the Department of Mechanical Design (2007-2009), deputy head of the same Department (2005-2007), Coordinator of the Course Control and Automation Engineering (2009-2011), and again Head of the Mechanical Design Department (2012-2014). From 2014, Full Professor at FEM-UNICAMP. Between 2014 and 2015, Visiting Scholar (post-doc) at the Department of Aerospace Engineering at the University of Michigan. With external funding, responsible for the creation and implementation of the Acoustoelastic Laboratory at the School of Agricultural Engineering at UNICAMP. With sponsorship from FINEP and UNICAMP, responsible for the creation of the Vehicle-Road Interaction Laboratory (FEM UNICAMP). Coordinator of the Railway Laboratory (LAFER- DSI-FEM-UNICAMP). Among several partnerships with companies, developed technological projects with VALE, PETROBRÁS, FAIVELEY, THYSSENKRUP METALÚRGICA CAMPO LIMPO, FRAS-LE, UNION PARK LIMITED (HONG KONG), DUROLINE, TERMOLITE, MOLDMIX, MARCHESAN. Besides, received grants for technological projects from American Air Force, FAPESP, CNPq, FUNDEP, FINEP and BNDES. Experience in several areas of Mechanical Engineering, with emphasis on Solid Mechanics, working mainly on the following topics: machine design, dynamic simulation, acoustoelasticity, energy capture by vibration, non-destructive stress evaluation, performance of friction materials, systems of brake, regenerative braking, and finite element stress analysis.
