I graduated in medicine from the University of Mogi das Cruzes (1992). I have a masters degree in surgery from the Institute of Medical Assistance for Health of the State Public (1999). I have a Ph.D. in surgical gastroenterology from the Federal University of Sao Paulo (2006). I did post-doctoral fellowships at the University of Coimbra (2010 and 2018). I was the coordinator of the Medical Course (2010) and the vice-coordinator of the Postgraduate Program in Health Sciences (2018) at São Francisco University. Currentely I am Cordinator of Health Science College Pitágoras from Codó, Medical School.I received more than 50 awards and authored or co-authored 69 papers in peer-reviewed journals. I participated as a member of 84 examining committees (Ph.D. and MSc committees and admission committees). I have peer-reviewed manuscripts for 25 journals. I have mentored undergraduate students (Scientific Initiation Projects), Ph.D. students and MSc students in Brazil. I have skills and competencies in people management, interpersonal communication, and oral and written expression. My areas of expertise are surgery, oncology, animal models of human disease, palliative care, and education. I am a highly collaborative worker and am committed to research and my students. My career experience includes writing projects, grants, and manuscripts; budget administration; experimental design of protocols; data analysis, and development of new curricula and their assessments. Currently, I am a member of the Brazilian College of Surgeons, and the European Association of Cancer Research. The value I bring is ethics and respect for human dignity in diverse learning contexts.
